Project description

Comptest is an independent b2b post-warranty service centre for electronic equipment, focused on telecommunications, networking, power and automation products. We perform reverse engineering of equipment for diagnostics and repair resolution. This project will allow us to develop a service yet unavailable on the Polish market, that will make possible the repair of telecommunications equipment and its reuse, by applying components from used equipment. This will maximise recycling activities, reduce emissions by extending the life cycle of products, and make materials management more efficient. As part of the project, we will work with a Norwegian partner, TAREC-IN AS, whose role will be to advise on sourcing equipment for dismantling components and on repair services based on smart recycling technology for the Norwegian market. The project will include an R&D stage – to develop an intelligent recycling service, i.e. software tools constituting a comprehensive modular system (modules for: suppliers, selective product reception, initial product testing, component inventory, component measurement and testing, component disassembly/recovery, component search engine and data exchange), and an implementation stage where specialised equipment will be purchased (X-ray machine, motion generator, radio meter, optical camera, goods lift, specialised mock-ups - hardware platforms). We will also purchase works and building materials to create a storage mezzanine, a test laboratory and a chamber for measuring radio signals. The project will reduce CO2 emissions by 4.64 tons per year. 8 new employees will be hired.
