Project description
The project involved the development of two innovative rehabilitation services dedicated to children with disabilities with the aim of improving their quality of life. The first was posture and gait diagnostics to assess movement disorders, while the second was individual therapy using vibrotherapy. The goal of the project was achieved through the following activities: -purchase of innovative, specialized diagnostic (FreeMedPosture, KINEOD) and therapeutic (Galileo) equipment; -development of a diagnostic and therapeutic protocol extended by testing and therapy on modern equipment. The creation of an innovative posture and gait testing service to assess the movement disorders of children with disabilities is a key stage in the rehabilitation process. By assessing posture, we evaluate body dysfunction. On the basis of a professional and objective initial examination of the patient, the Applicant is able to determine the near-term and long-term goals of rehabilitation in a precise and detailed manner. By acquiring previously impossible to obtain parameters, it will be possible to establish the most important dysfunctions determining the abnormal functioning of the child. The refinement of the second innovative rehabilitation service will involve the addition of a vibration platform component to individual therapy. The parameters of the new device (low vibration frequencies) will result in a 20-fold acceleration of the effects of therapy, making it possible to accelerate improvements in the quality of life of disabled children.
