Development and implementation of an innovative and comprehensive rehabilitation service for geriatric patients

The Krojanty Clinic (est. 1998) focuses on treatment of patients with locomotor disabilities, mainly elderly people with slipped discs and sharp back pains, as well as joint pains and migraines. Our comprehensive approach to rehabilitation results in patients regaining their mobility and professional activity. The goal of this project is to develop and implement a group therapy service improving the health of geriatric patients who require interdisciplinary rehabilitation. We will purchase advanced equipment that will form the basis of a multi-station group therapy and extend the treatment base existing in the clinic. Also, a new programme of comprehensive diagnostics and rehabilitation of geriatric patients will be created focusing on individual rehabilitation progress evaluated under objective diagnostics of biomechanical parameters. For instance, the use of platforms and treadmill will help assess postural and balance parameters, spasticity, muscle tone, range of motion, and other factors. The programme will combine rehabilitation methods we have used so far with new methods and latest technologies to create holistic therapeutic environment that will be unique in Poland and outstanding in Europe.
