Implementation of a process innovation - an original technology of production of wooden pallets in PPHU DREWMAR ZBIGNIEW JANGAS

Project description

The growing demand for wooden components including pallets for international transport makes Drewmar, which manufactures wood products for many industries, bound to keep introducing new production technologies. The project objective is to implement our own comprehensive technology for the production of wooden pallets, which will allow for cutting medium and large-sized wood and use innovative band saw machines. The production line will consist of automated modules (pre-treatment, processing and large-size processing) to ensure maximum efficiency with minimum energy consumption and waste reduction of 496 tons per year. The project also covers the creation of our own energy source in the form of photovoltaic panels. This, in addition to the partial elimination of sawdust extraction from production, will reduce the annual electricity consumption of the Drewmar plant by 0.30 GWh. The investment will also contribute to the reduction of our annual CO2 emissions by 282.19 tons. By implementing the project we will respond to a high demand from buyers of high quality, non-standard and oversized pallets. We will also enter the international market with approx. 20% of the new production.
