Oslo Innovation Week 2023: Norway Grants support the development of business cooperation between Poland and Norway

On 27 September, during ‘Oslo Innovation Week 2023’, The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, together with Innovation Norway, co-organised an event aimed at expanding opportunities for cooperation between business representatives from Poland and Norway.

This year's edition of 'The Tipping Point Is Here: Meet Innovative Startups/Scaleups from Central/Southern Europe' was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the latest solutions in the field of green technologies, that are, inter alia, the result of projects co-financed from the funds of the Norwegian Mechanism.

The event programme included:

• presentations on the startup and scale-up ecosystem in Oslo and the use of artificial intelligence in startups' new product development processes,
• a session of 17 business pitches,
• a networking session.

The event was attended by more than 150 participants from Poland, Norway and 8 other countries involved in the implementation of programmes financed by the EEA and Norway Grants. Poland was represented by 10 companies and research institutions.

The representative of Rabugino Sp. z o.o. - a beneficiary of the Norway Grants - presented trolleys made from plastic waste, which used to pollute the seas and oceans, but was fished out and put back into circulation. The product was developed thanks to a grant awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

- Support for Polish participants during Oslo Innovation Week is one of the most important activities regularly undertaken by PARP. Each year, more and more companies are interested in the Norwegian market and try to establish valuable contacts during this event - says Justyna Kizlich from PARP.

Moreover, later this year, Polish entities representing the maritime industry and the construction sector will be able to establish cooperation with Norwegian companies during events organised by PARP and Innovation Norway at Baltexpo 2023 in Gdańsk, Poland (11 October) and Bygg Reis Deg 2023 in Lillestrøm, Norway (19 October). Both events will be held with support from the Norway Grants.
